Our Mission

AI is revolutionising the economy, significantly increasing the productivity of organisations. But the organisations who stand to benefit the most, may be those with the least capacity to think innovatively about how to deploy AI responsibly. We aim to empower purpose-led and Civil Society organisations, schools and SMEs to harness the full potential of AI with confidence and responsibility.

As a social enterprise, our Articles of Association will drive us to invest the majority of our profits into supporting those organisations with the least capacity to make these changes, as we believe they are also the organisations that stand to benefit the most.

  • AI tools are rapidly changing the context in which organisations operate, as well as providing new opportunities for delivering their mission in different ways. We help leaders explore and articulate the change they want to make.

  • Organisations play a pivotal role in shaping the AI landscape. We help leaders to identify their change agents and empower their teams to safely experiment with Generative AI, align its use with organisational values, and establish clear policies and guidelines.

  • Deciding not to use AI tools for certain use cases is just as important as deciding to use them. We will give you a framework for taking these decisions, to make sure you are prioritising the highest impact, lowest risk AI solutions.

About Our Founder Tim Cook

Tim brings a wealth of experience and a passion for ensuring an equitable outcome from the current AI revolution. With over a decade applying AI technologies to address societal challenges, and 4 years as part of the leadership team who set up the UK Government’s Office for AI, Tim’s journey is rooted in innovation, change and empowerment.

  • Tim spent 4-years as Deputy Head and then Head of the UK’s Office for Artificial Intelligence, part of the leadership team that set up and grew the unit. Here, he spearheaded initiatives on AI skills and adoption across the economy, navigated the national security implications of AI, was instrumental in negotiating the UK’s first legal definition of AI, and developed sections of the UKs first National AI Strategy on AI Governance and Skills.

  • Through his work on AI skills, Tim developed a strong belief in the necessity of empowering people with the skills to both work with and live alongside AI technologies, an ambition that he reflected in the National AI Strategy.

  • Twice setting up and growing new, innovation focused teams, during some of the most turbulent years in Government, Tim has a wealth of experience in both leading during changing times, and in leading internal change.

  • Coaching has been at the heart of Tim’s leadership successes, and he has spent many years coaching other leaders through change. His leadership coaching and workshop facilitation enables him to effectively communicate the complexities of AI and help leaders to foster an environment of learning and growth in their organisation.

  • AIConfident is the culmination of Tim’s passion and expertise, bringing together deep AI knowledge with leadership coaching to help purposeful leaders to navigate the changes of the AI revolution with confidence.
